The Barnabás Foundation aims to help adults and children with disabilities by organizing summer camps and self improvment groups, in different areas of the country. Each year, from June to September, camp weeks are organised at Barnabás House, for both adults and young people with disabilities, but also fo children and their carers (more than 150 people in total during the summer).

Once in the summer season, we also organize the week of the elders at the Barnabás House. In addition, we help them as much as possible with spiritual and physical support.
During our work, we want to help, for a specified period, the needy families, underage mothers, newborns, childrens and students.
The Barnabás Foundation aims to help adults and children with disabilities. Barnabás House was inaugurated on July 3, 1999, at 25 kilometers from Miercurea Ciuc. The house was built by the Foundation with the help of internal and foreign supporters. Located on an area of 125 square meters, this two-storey building is heated with gas, has hot and cold water and it can accommodate up to 17 people. On the ground floor is the kitchen and the dining room.
Physical and spiritual conditions are very important in the program of the Barnabás House. The series courses of the foundation include the situation of people with disabilities and reduced mobility, respectively their integration in society, increasing their confidence that they can be useful even in this disadvantaged situation. The foundation’s activities help to build close friendships.
I am grateful for the help of the foundation and for every moment spent in the camp in Hargita.
During the camps I had the opportunity to observe their boundless love for children.
